Woman in the Room

“The Woman in the Room” is a voice that speaks out against gender bias in the workplace. Because it's not a woman's full-time job to do it herself (she already has one of those).

This project was made in collaboration with other artists and makers in tech in reaction to this sexist manifesto written by a Google employee. Check the site for more.

The project started as a series of posters designed to stop micro-aggressions from happening where they commonly do: in meeting spaces and conference room walls. We sent the posters to agencies and companies around the world and launched a simple website where anyone could download, print and post Her voice wherever s/he needs it.

This AdAge article provides helpful context around the launch.

Moms Against Delivery

April 2020. We were one-month post-launch at Cat Person. Like many parents, my partner and I were working from home without childcare for our 3-year-old and 8-month-old. I was watching a tutorial of a healthcare worker teaching me how to properly disinfect groceries before bringing them inside when a Mother’s Day ad for silk pajamas got served to me. Silk pajamas. The disconnect between what moms needed and what brands said Moms wanted, made me want to beat a piñata to a pulp.
